Diane Hayes
Diane Hayes is Principal of our wonderful school. Diane has been Principal at St Mary’s since 1991 and is passionate about ensuring that children are given the best education that they can receive. Married to Juno – they have 8 children between them. Diane enjoys learning, travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family.
Katie Shaw

Katie Shaw is our Deputy Principal, and teaches the New Entrant and Year 1 children. She lives in Milton with her partner Benji and 3 children – Sophia, Benson and Louie. Katie enjoys following her partner round the country with his car racing.
Chris Morris
​
Chris teaches year 4, 5 and 6 students in Room 4. He comes to St Mary's after working for the Ministry of Education, and prior to that, teaching at Rosebank School Balclutha. He resides in Dunedin, says he enjoys the commute, and appreciates the sense of family that forms an important part of St Mary's culture. Chris has three grown up children, enjoys travelling, sport and spending time with his family.
Victoria Stephen

Victoria Stephen is teaching in Room 2, where she guides and mentors our Year 2 and 3 students. She lives in Milton with her husband Alvin, and two sons Mathew and Camrin. Within her classroom Victoria loves to share her love of God, Technology and Art. When not at school she loves to spend time with her family, and her two fur babies , Toko and Eva.
Sandra Shaw
Sandra Shaw is Office Administrator and has been a part of St Mary’s School for 29 years, being a parent, being a member of the Home and School and Chairperson of the BOT. All of her children – Katie, Alisha, Dion and Nicholas were educated at St Mary’s School.
Lyn Clark
Lyn Clark is Classroom Release Teacher. She lives in Milton on a sheep farm with her husband Bryce and their 3 children. Lyn enjoys Art and Maori.
Ashleigh Murray

Ashleigh Murray is a Teacher's Aide at Saint Mary's. Ashleigh has been working with children since February 2021, previously in ECE, also with a period in a High School. Her passion is supporting and guiding children as they learn and grow. Ashleigh lives in Milton with her partner Nathan, daughter Brooke who attends St Mary's, and their two dogs Ryder & Skye. In her spare time she enjoys socializing with friends & family, and playing golf.
Di Tait
Di Tait is a Teacher’s Aide at St Mary’s. Di loves working with children. She is married to Warren – has 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Di enjoys walking and handiwork.
